About Our Team
The Organisational Development Team supports the sustainable development of voluntary organisations and community groups.
The team is able to offer guidance, funding information, training and a range of practical help to groups and organisations to help them deliver their goals more effectively. Workers from the team can help groups assess their needs, offer capacity building support and develop learning opportunities.
Information and Guidance
Groups can arrange for a team member to visit them to help with:
- Development of constitutions/legal structures
- Charity registration
- Management committees
- Development of policies
- Financial management
- Employing staff
- Business planning
- Sources of funding
- Training opportunities
- Quality assurance systems
- FunderFinder and Funding Point (a database of grant-making trusts)
In addition to one-to-one support the VAK Organisational Development Team has produced a Community Groups Toolkit. The toolkit is an essential guide for community groups and is available from VAK offices in Huddersfield.
