New Commission on Future of Third Sector Funding (12/06/08)
A new commission to look at the state of funding for the whole of the third sector after 2010 has been announced by umbrella body the NCVO.
The new Funding Commission will look at concerns such as funding volatility and planning for uncertainty over the next 10 years.
"We expect to have the commission up & running by early 2009.It's job will be to come up with practical and public policy proposals that ensure secure funding for the voluntary sector, for the longer term", said Stuart Etherington, chief executive of the NCVO.
