VAK believes that communities benefit from greater participation of all their members. We actively support participation in community activity and involvement of individuals and communities in all the processes that affect our lives.
We recognise that many people are discriminated against, and that discrimination effectively limits their ability to participate in a full and equal way in decisions and processes that affect their lives. We aim to take positive action against discrimination in all forms, and value the role of all individuals involved with VAK.
VAK is a registered charity and a company limited by guarantee. The members of the Management Board are Charity Trustees and Directors of the Company and have to act within a legal framework. VAK has to arrange an Annual General Meeting for member organisations and submit audited accounts and an annual report (copies available on request).
